Struggling with SAT maths? This one is for you!
First of all, I'd like to make this clear that I'm no Maths genius, and I got an 1180 in first attempt. Second attempt after weeks of Khan Academy,1220. I was so done. The real problem wasn't practice it was that I never understood why I was getting things wrong. I'd miss the same question type 10 times and still not know what was actually broken in my thinking.
I tried to stop moving on from wrong answers. Every single mistake, I'd force myself to fully understand the concept before touching the next problem, even tho it Sounds obvious nobody actually does it.
For Math systems of equations, percent change, and linear vs. exponential growth were worth the most time. Lock those down and you're looking at +60 to +80 points alone. For Reading I was treating "words in context" as a vocabulary problem. It's not. It's a trap-answer problem. The SAT almost always puts the most obvious definition as the wrong choice. Once I saw that pattern, i made sure I didn't miss it.
I'd like to give a shoutout to Elevenfolks.com, surprisingly not a tutor, not youtube just pasted in my wrong answers and got a clear breakdown of where my reasoning failed. Free version was enough for most of it.
11 weeks. 1480. Happy to answer questions.
