Only The Lowest Of The Low Gets A Seat On The Board And Uses It To Destroy The HOA And Hand It Over To A Corrupt Management Company

That is exactly what Chris Taylor did to Cedar Springs.

He continued scheming and cheating after that first betrayal and now he has broken Utah HOA law to dump scores of harmful new rules into our Governing Documents.

He has essentially made himself Manager here, although he was never vetted for the job. We know nothing about him, and he has full access to all our bank accounts.

He has eliminated the position that protected Owners from people doing exactly what he has done. He has arranged things so that he has no professional Manager overseeing him, and because of that, he mishandled a situation so badly that an Owner who had suffered all the hardships of his building catching fire lost his home for no other reason than Chris Taylor refusing to do the job he literally stole. After the Owner's unit was severly damaged by the firemen spraying the Cedar shake shingles above his unit, over saturating them to make sure they did not ignite, his unit was destroyed from water damage.

After moving out of his home for many months, in order for the rebuild to be done, his ceiling collapsed within months after he moved back in. For most fire victims, that would be the absolute worst outcome possible. Because of Chris Taylor, the worst was still to come for our Co-Owner.

At that point it was Management's job to go back to the rehab company that did the work and get them to honor the legally required six year warranty. They had not brought the unit back to new condition, and they should have then been told that they needed to redo the work. When there is a fire, Management hires the rehab company. Management deals with our insurance company and receives the insurance money. Owners are shut out of the whole process. That is necessary because multiple units were damaged and one person needs to oversee the restoration of the entire building.

Instead of doing the job that he unlawfully schemed and plotted, and betrayed Owners to take for himself, Chris Taylor refused. He told the Owner that it was now his financial responsibility to get his unit repaired.

That is wrong. That makes no sense. Any reasonably intelligent person would know that is not how it works. Chris took matters so far that he squandered our HOA money fighting the lawsuit the Owner filed to make Cedar Springs do the right thing. Because Chris was unfairly using the funds of 202 people, the Owner could not afford to continue fighting for what he was justly entitled to. After paying the bills at his home that he could not live in for more than two years, he borrowed money to get the repairs made, before the damages got any worse, just sitting there, water logged from the damage that was never repaired correctly.

Because Chris Taylor schemed and plotted to get the Manager job and insisted that he have it with no oversight from anyone, there was no one to stop him from abusing his power and decimating one of our fellow Owners.

Chris could do this, and many more things that harm Owners and our HOA if he is allowed to continue in the position for which he has proven he is totally unqualified.

The smart people who wrote our original Governing Documents expected other Board Members to be a check and a balance of an untrustworthy person like Chris Taylor. However, the other Board Members are either too old, to unaware, or complicit and are contributing to the harm Chris Taylor is doing to our HOA.

It was never expected that one dishonest, coniving person like Chris Taylor would conspire with and take instructions from a corrupt management company. But Chris Taylor has sidelined hundreds of Homeowners and essentially destroyed the system of direct democracy that worked here for 45 years. We can still stop him. He will make it difficult because he does not care about our HOA. But we can undo everything he has done. Please help me.
