S3 supermini vs c3 supermini - is the s3 any better?

Has anybody got any experience with esp32 s3 supermini boards as I have an s3 devkit and it works just fine but I have some c3s in the supermini form factor and they are extremely problematic - not booting or running code horrible ble and almost unusable WiFi etc... I am just wondering if the s3 supermini boards (the blue ones) are any better then the c3 and if the chip has the same amazing specs as the original s3 devkit. I am really confused when researching on Google as all amazon reviews don't really help on the topic and I don't want to spend tonnes on an expensive (but garenteed quality) board like ones made by waveshare or other brands and rather I want to know if it is worth saving the money on some cheap generic boards
