WIBTA if I braided my daughter’s hair for summer camp?

Piggybacking on the children’s clothes post.

Little bit different because me braiding her hair has absolutely nothing to do with cultural appreciation.

I am a single solo mother. I don’t have family close to me and have no help. I have decided that I’m going to send all my kids to sleepover camp for one week this summer. The reason I’m sending them is: 1. I think they’ll have fun cause I had fun and sleepover camp when I was a kid, and 2. I will use the time that they’re gone for some self-care and just to get a bit of a break.

My youngest is 7 and besides the occasional trim, she have never cut her hair. She still needs help brushing and washing her hair.

I’m thinking of doing five cornrow style braids down the back of her head for the week. Sometimes when we travel, I will do two Dutch braids they last three days, so my thought is 4-5 braids will last longer, hopefully the full week.

I have been trying to teach her to wash, condition, and brush her own hair; however, her hair is longer than her arms and she’s having difficulties.

I understand that this is a typical black hairstyle, however, I just want to protect her hair for the week without her coming home with massive knots.
