Sourfaux sold as sourdough - would this upset you?

Help 🙏

Context: I started baking bread at a coop a few months ago and quickly taught myself sourdough at home so I could make it at work. There was one person there already making a sourdough boule (although tbh the loaves have zero oven spring, so I can't tell the extent of their knowledge), and the manager calling the shots 'isn't trained on the sourdough', so I don't get the sense they understand the process.

(I believed) we were recently asked to make a few existing recipes as sourdough... but I found out later that what they actually wanted was for us to just add starter to flavor the bread and still use yeast for the rise. I feel like I'm in an ethical dilemma...I don't think it's sourdough with all the sourdough properties...I feel like if ppl know the difference, they will feel deceived. I feel like I need to confront this, but carefully. Am I crazy? How would you feel about buying sourdough flavored bread that is labeled 'sourdough'?
