My next step?

I blew through act 1, did a few of the quests, and killed the mini roaming boss 3 times no issues. I put together a pretty nice looking team and tried act 2 the first time. The mini boss murdered my team…not even close. In about 3 rounds…literally killed my cats and then stole them 1 round at a time. Never even picked up the other bodies.

I probably did like 1/3 his life and I had a movement/jump tank that literally killed all the bodies in the first turn. Then my tank got wrecked on the bosses first turn and then stolen on the second. Then I got completely slapped by my own cats.

Do I need to start breeding for act 2? I assumed I had a little more to go before I had to just start breeding cats.
