RP5 owner interested in Gamehub/Steam

I picked up a 2nd hand rp5 several months ago and while the initial setup was a lengthy process, it wasn’t overly difficult thanks to the Ryan Retro guide.

Still got a lot of console & handheld games to get through but I’d also like to try out Gamehub for some titles like Portal/HL 1&2 as well as some of the newer indie titles like Hades, Dead Cells & Silksong among others.

Coming from a console background I’m completely new to the Steam platform; I understand I’ll need to acquire the games through Steam to play them in Gamehub. Would I be fine to just grab the Steam store app from google play, install it on my RP5 and then purchase through there to play on Gamehub? Also seeing a lot of comments about GoG, I assume that’d be the same?

Also, for titles like Hades, Dead Cells, Dredge etc would it be easier to just try those through Switch emulation?
