Is ranked on PC that much different than console?

I’m a console player and I also don’t play this game that often as I used to but I’ve heard that PC ranked is more difficult than console. I was just wondering if that’s just hearsay bc of the console vs PC war or if it’s actually true and if there’s anyone who has played on both if they could explain what they big difference is.
