Would you know if you were muted?

It seems like anytime I talk in public chat or even on mini game specific group chats no one ever acknowledges anything I say. I’m wondering if it’s because I’m not cool enough or say stupid things or if no one can actually see my messages . I have said some bad words in the past but mostly in a kidding way and I have t seen any messages from texting me I’ve been muted or even warned
