Just got a weird email from Xbox. Is this legit?

So my Ultimate Game Pass subscription just lapses a few days ago. I just received an email with the subject line of: We saved your progress in Avowed, [username]!

I've never played Avowed. Does this mean my account was hacked or is this some kind of marketing gimmick?
