Designing an avali OC and could use some help

Hello all! As the title suggests I’m making an avali but could use some clarification on a few things. Mainly on the Nexus front.

In the wiki it’s said that nearly all avali have a pair of neural jacks at the base of their cranium. I looked and couldn’t find any depictions of what they actually look like though. Are they just not visible through the feathers? Are they similar to the jack design of Cyberpunk 2077?

Secondly the Nexus. I get that its a combination of AR and VR elements and that’s it’s incredibly important to Avali society. My question is is it being used by Avali society 24/7 as they go about their day, or is it only usable when physically connected through the already mentioned cranium jacks?

I’m mainly asking because I’m going to be giving my character large glasses to match me irl . If the Nexus is available wirelessly then they’d mainly be a fashion piece, but if not then I’d give them the functionality of being smart screens that tap into the Nexus for AR.
