Is a secondhand pc worth it?

Hello, just wanted to ask if what do you guys think about buying a secondhand pc these days. I have seen some good stuff on FB Marketplace that goes for (35-50k) and it may be too good to be true, or would i just rather build a brand new pc considering the huge price hike on ssd and ram. I already had a build in mind, but it would go for 65-70k for all brand new parts.

I just need it for thesis right now, that's why im asking for advice
