My grandfather owned a large cow/calf ranch and farm. I worked on it until I was 21 years old. Every one on the ranch when I was growing up wore Whites or Hawthorns. My first pair was some handle down Whites, I think they were packers. Unfortunately I grew out of them and lost them years ago. My grandfather wore Whites for most of his life but he told me he got the Hawthorns because he knew it was going to be his last boot and he didn't want to spend Whites money because he didn't know how much longer he would be able to get around. He unfortunately has Parkinson's. Fuck that disease.

On that note.....PSA, wear masks when mixing chemicals. He probably got Parkinson's from a defoliant that he used years ago. It's been proven to cause Parkinson's. Grandpa wasn't super safe with chemicals. One day I had a hose blow off a sprayer pump and soak me in round up/2-4d Mix, I probably swallowed a bit. He told me not to worry about it, Roundup is completely safe. turns out it's not.lol

My grandfather is my hero and my favorite person on this Earth. We have always been really close and have a special bond. I'm kind of his twin. He was 6"7' and built just like me. During one of my recent visits he told me to take his work boots and "nice/going out" cowboy boots. I believe the cowboy boots are handmade by someone in Fort Worth. He would love to see me wear these boots but unfortunately the Hawthorns don't fit but the cowboy boots do. Whites sized me at 11.5 AA and these are 12 A I believe. My question is what are these exactly? Could Franks rebuild them? Even if they are GYW, I'd pay whatever to get them to my size.

We have the same taste in boots, I've got a pair of Drifter 1s on the way and Stockmans.

I found my grandpa's last work boots and cowboy boots
