Auto enrol in sequence via custom code/operations hub

I've been trying to automatically enrol a contact into a sequence with a workflow through custom code. Has anyone made this work?

I've been banging away on Claude all day trying to do this and had no luck.

We don't have sales enterprise which I believe let's you just enrol in sequences in a workflow. I don't want to pay for some other product that will let me do it.
