What does mental damage look like?

Like conceptually I get it. You’re damaging their mind and all that, but it is inherently lethal damage like from a role-play perspective. What does that look like? Am I running up to a guy and telling him how his mom never really loved him and then he just flat lines Am I giving them an aneurysm or just like a headache cause there’s a physical aspect to it cause I can just fully kill a guy with nothing but psychic damage apparently even while unconscious this has been bugging me for a years
