Why is is so hard to join? (Ps)

played this game since 2020 and this is the buggiest I've seen it. the one that takes the cake is trying to join my wife in the main menu. i appear offline, she appears in the main menu (but she is in a game). she can't invite me and i can't join her. i invite her but she can't see it because I'm offline apparently. rinse an repeat till i get to the 4th or 5th time of turning the game off and on. this changes from person to person. sometimes she is offline, sometimes my son. i can get over game crashes but when the game kicks you from the party and i can't get back in. i simply go play something else. why can't they use the ps menu to join and request to join games? i don't get it.
