Talking stage

Hi everyone, so as as the tittle, how long is everyone talking before actually go out on a date? This is my story:

I’m 23, really new to dating. We met on app (not grindr 💀). He said hi first, we talked for about a week (pretty consistently everyday) before deciding to exchange phone numbers. Since we exchanged numbers, the conversations have been great, constantly responding, we texted a lot everyday, many things in common. We exchanged the first nsfw pic two weeks after. Conversations were still going forward after that. He said he had told some of his close friends about me and about he was bi. It has been 4 weeks since we first talked and we still have not gone out for a date. I asked him about it and he said we would schedule something after I come back from my family visit. But I have a feeling that he does not want to, he said at the beginning that he wanted to take it slow and I agreed, but 4 weeks of talking feels a little bit too slow for me 💀

My question is it too slow?, is he just messing around with me? How long do people go out after talking? Sorry but I am just too new to this, this is the first person I have talked to for this long without sex 💀
