Competent writing should not be treated like a red flag.
Competent writing should not be treated like a red flag. Some of us were trained to write in a clean, structured, academic way. That does not mean a robot is behind the screen. It means we paid attention in class, practiced, edited, and cared about how our ideas land. Not every polished sentence is artificial. Sometimes it is just discipline. Sometimes it is pride in the craft. If strong grammar and clear arguments start looking suspicious, we are rewarding mediocrity and punishing effort. Good writing should spark discussion, not doubt. Let skill be seen as skill, not a scandal waiting to happen.
