yasmin telling harper that she grew up at someone's mercy

yasmin has never explicitly revealed her father's sexual abuse towards her, although hinted at in season one and her auntie's insult in s4e2. this powerful reunion in s4e7 proves that harper and yasmin see each other beyond words. harper immediately consoles her after she answers that she grew up at someone's mercy. harper obviously knew enough about yasmin's father (season 3 etc) but i wanted to know more thoughts about this.
