No traffic or conversion on new site | getting worried.
Hey everyone, I’m brand new to dropshipping, as in I started 10 days ago. I am a military vet/ father of three trying to make more income with something I am passionate about. Since going live I have had very little traffic to my store and no conversion. With the niche I am passionate about and have selected, I absolutely do not expect to get thousands of dollars worth of sales over night, but I am wondering what the turnaround time typically is for a shop like mine.
Shop info:
- Niche Selected: Watches.
+ Selling Luxury/dress watches, casual, smart/athletic, and I have a section that will be Custom seiko mods that I build in house myself.
- Main pitch/appeal/problem: selling Luxury-style watches at an affordable price
+ I use taglines like “Luxury, within reach”, “luxury feel, affordable price”, and “elevate your everyday”
- I am veteran owned and operated and advertise as such (offering a military and first responder discount)
Things I have done thus far:
- Established an LLC (for this and future businesses)
- Bought a .com domain name (dialanddetail.com)
- Built website and published it
+ Just added the site map to google today
- Selected two dropshipping fulfillment services and stocked the site.
+ I have the Zendrop Pro plan for a year and Auto DS mid tier package for now
- Created a site wide discount for the launch of the site and a military discount.
- Started an Instagram page and am posing for at least 30 days straight. (DialAndDetailCo)
I don’t know if I should be worried yet or trust the process (if there is a process to trust).
Questions:
- Should I pay someone on Fiverr to review an audit my site, conduct SEO for me, or market my site?
- Should I set up an ad budget and start doing ads somewhere yet even with no current traffic?
- Should I try organic marketing elsewhere on a different platform?
- What do you think my next steps should be?
I like to think I did a pretty decent job of setting this website up. It looks trustworthy to me and I show that it’s vet owned and operated. I just think I’m stuck in tunnel vision on this right now and need some fresh opinions on the situation aside from most of the people trying to sell me something in their YouTube videos.
If anyone wants to check in and help me it would be appreciated more than you know!
