in desperate need of tooth pain remedies

i have a few cavities, one on my back molar that’s down to the root. it’s been killing me all day. i brushed and flossed well. i took 600mg of ibuprofen and 400mg of acetaminophen this afternoon, didn’t touch it. i took 3 shots, it took the edge off for 20 minutes. i went to the ER and cried for 6 hours in the waiting room, then finally got some relief with lidocaine injected into my gum (dental root block). also antibiotics. i thought it worked and left, but by the time we pulled the car into the driveway my tooth starting hurting again. it’s 1am and back to throbbing now, yet half my tongue is still completely numb.

bad teeth runs in my family and so does alcoholism. i’m starting to understand the correlation. i’m ready to get drunk just so i can sleep through the night to call an emergency diet at tomorrow.
