Castle Volkihar Glitch

I’m playing the PS4 SSE upgrade on my ps5. It’s my first playthrough in a few years. Vanilla no mods. I discovered Castle Volkihar long before starting Bloodline and just learned about the glitch. How has this been around for years and never fixed? Is there a fix that can save my game?
