Is there any way to verify product authenticity before buying online?

I ordered a branded smartwatch online and everything looked original, but the battery drained very quickly after a few days. The packaging and logo seemed genuine which made it confusing. Counterfeit electronics are becoming very common now. Is there any other way to check the authenticity of products?
