just need a little insight

Hey all. I'm pregnant with my second (first kiddo is almost 17). I'm 40 years old and my husband and I have been TTC for about a year and a half. Just hoping to explain my situation and see if anyone had similar circumstances, and if so, what the outcomes were (good or bad).

First day of LMP was 12/31/2025

First positive test on 1/31/2026

First beta on 2/3/2026 - 94

2nd beta on 2/5/2026 - 120

3rd beta on 2/7/2026 - 193

Obviously, those numbers were discouraging as they weren't even really close to doubling, so my doctor sent me for an ultrasound which I had on 2/11/2026. The tech spent about 20 minutes doing the ultrasound and then went to speak with the doctor who said they didn't see a gestational sac or fetal pole, but there was a "possible minute 3mm sac amongst the endometrial stripe". They let me know this could be indicative of a pending miscarriage or that it could be too early to see anything. They obviously couldn't lean either way, but ordered another ultrasound and beta for two weeks later (which will be this coming Thursday). I've been so anxious and trying not too get my hopes too far up or down. I had some very mild cramping about ten days ago, but nothing different than what I felt during my first pregnancy, and have had no bleeding whatsoever. I am still having early pregnancy symptoms and testing positive and I still FEEL pregnant. I know there's no way to know anything for sure until my next ultrasound and blood test, but would love to hear from anyone else who had slow-rising hCG and/or an early ultrasound that didn't show anything. Thanks in advance!
