People who have poor media literacy

It probably bothers me way more than it reasonably should, but I cannot stand when people fundamentally misunderstand story beats, characters, motivations, etc. in any story, and then go on to act like their interpretation is completely valid.

It also spreads misinformation about the thing they're talking about. So more people start to believe it, and it gets spread further, and soon that's all you see in spaces for the fanbase.

It's made even worse when they make it clear they weren't even paying attention to it in the first place, asking questions that have answers that are spelled out to the audience crystal clear.

Is it petty? Yes. Is it exceedingly annoying? Also yes.
