Any one using 0.3mm nozzle for minis?
I have started printing minis on my ender 3 neo max with sprite direct drive. I have consistently been getting decent results printing 25mm vehicles at 0.12layer height with 0.4mm nozzle. I tried 0.1layers but results are not that significantly better to make up for the longer print times.
I tried printing 8mm infantry at 0.08, 0.10 and the results were not acceptable.
I have been reading about 0.2mm vs 0.4mm nozzles for miniature printing. There was surprisingly very few posts and comments on this sub about using 0.3mm nozzles.
The 0.3mm seemed like a better “standard” size nozzle for general use and miniatures printing.
I ended up getting 0.3mm nozzles and have been happy with the results. I can now print the 8mm infantry at 0.1layers with better results than the 0.1layers using the 0.4mm nozzle. And the 0.12layers for 25mm vehicles is also better with the 0.3mm nozzle.
Does anyone have any experience with using 0.3mm nozzle for minis?
