Visiting Amritsar (25 Feb) with family – hotel & airport taxi advice?

Hi everyone,

I’m visiting Amritsar on 25th Feb with my father, mother and grandmother. We’ll mainly visit Golden Temple, Durgiana Temple and Wagah Border.

Budget is max ₹6k per night.

Any suggestions for clean, safe, family-friendly hotels near Golden Temple?

Is it safe to book a hotel on the spot, or better to book online? I’ve seen reviews about geyser/hot water issues and booking scams, so a bit confused.

Also, do Ola/Uber work from Amritsar airport? Approx how much do they charge to Golden Temple area?
