How do I teach my cat to stop biting me?

so my cat had been kept biting me when I try to pet her for like literal months and I don't even know why yet nor how to train it not to. you may gonna sound dramatic but I literal never made any serious harm or any sort of disrespect to a literal cat. whenever I try to get close to her and pet her as gentle as I could, she just tries to bite or scratch my hands. It had made a few bleeding scars in the past and today it ripped some parts of my skin now but it's not bleeding (thankfully) and also I might be the only one that she constantly bites in the household because she doesn't bite my parents that much.
