This show misrepresents my version of humanity so much

Maybe I'm too steeped in Roddenberry tea, but it bothers me how quickly we humans moved to killing instead of communication and understanding in this show. These things have spaceships and cloaks and portals yet we just want to blow 'em up like this was a Taylor Sheridan show. Even Mitsuki, who can communicate directly through most of the show, fails to show real human empathy.

Maybe the writers are going to spring some kind of huge "cosmic connection" on us for the show finale where we reach a peace and future prosperity with them, but somehow it just doesn't seem like they can get there from here, and that makes me sad. I expect more from Apple TV+ writers than A&E-level survival entertainment.
