Here is proof of how bad the TELUS network has gotten in BC

Mobility

I have been a TELUS customer on and off for the last decade. TELUS has great customer service compared to others (especially Rogers!), but part of the reason I tried other carriers was TELUS's network coverage degredation in BC. I thought my experience was anecdotal where I constantly get 1-2 bars at the heart of downtown Vancouver, while with Rogers I got full signal (4 bars) consistently. Recently, seeing how good the promos got, I decided to give Koodo a try which uses the TELUS network and I was signed up by TELUS' winback agents, which is why I am posting in this community because this is about the TELUS network.

What happened: I got an email saying I was now roaming in the US when was hiking in Mount Seymour yesterday which is nowhere near the US border. The US border was at least 80 km away from where I was, and for those who don't know Mt Seymour is even further north than downtown Vancouver. This happened because my phone was not able to connect to any TELUS towers and the strongest connection in the area was with a US cellular tower 80 km+ away! This is crazy considering the distance and goes to show how terrible TELUS reception has gotten in BC! I'm curious if others have had similar experiences here.
