Experienced blatant racism in Redmond tonight (Avalon Apartments area)

Just wanted to share a disturbing experience my wife and I had in Redmond. We live in Ballard but drove over to meet friends for dinner.

While I was pulling over near Avalon Apartments to pick up my wife (it was dark and raining, I had hazards on to let people pass), a driver pulled up next to me and yelled, "Go back to India and learn to drive." When I apologized and explained I was just looking for my wife in the dark, he doubled down: "You all Indians don't know how to drive, go back to India." I called him out for being racist, and he responded with "Yes!! F* you"** before passing us.

I’ve lived in Ballard for a while and never experienced anything like this. Is this a common sentiment in Redmond lately? It was incredibly stunning to face such direct hate in an area that is supposed to be so diverse.
