Plane crashes in a forest
It has a similar plot to "The Riddle of the Stinson" 1988 but its more recent. It was a few men that crash a plane in a cold forest thats damp but not snowy. No big groups of men on snow peaked mountains. No children. The opening of the movie shows beautiful landscapes with quality modern video. It looks like alaskan landscape but im not sure. They crash from some kind of draft thats related to the shape of the valley/geography and end up finding another crashed plane there. I cant remember if they were looking for the crashed plane or if they were hunters. I remember it having a "one last look" kind of feel to it or taking a shortcut over that area. They have to walk a ton of miles to get out while fighting starvation and the elements. There may have even been a bear involved. But I remember it being centered around the human limitations and conflicts more than being wildlife centered like "The Edge" 1997. Im trying to keep out details from episodes of "i survived" because they didnt have the production value for the dramatic landscape shots at the beginning.
