Resoled and waxed Danners

Picked up a used pair of suede Danners for under $100 last year. I’d been wanting a pair of heritage style hiking boots, but I couldn’t quite justify paying full price for a brand new pair from Danner.

I wasn’t a fan of the Christy soles they came with, so I had them resoled with Vibram commandos. I also wasn’t into the original suede color, so I grabbed a tin of Otter Boot Wax and darkened them up myself.

All in, I’m about $200 into these. Not an incredible bargain on paper, but I ended up with a pair of boots I really want to wear, which matters most.
