Best Apartment Complex in LR?

Hi y'all! I'm moving to Little Rock in the next month for work. I'm working on the East side of town (past 440). Are there any recommended apartment complexes in that area that are gated and safe? My range is about $1000-$1300/month.

I'm also considering looking into the west side (like Bowman), but wanted to know how traffic is and any alternative routes to get to work?
