Hey! I recently become extremely afraid of space.
No, I’m not afraid of aliens coming to diddle me. I have within the last year gone from having a life long fascination with space and the exploration of our cosmos to being so fearful that I often have to turn of videos I’m watching and often keep myself up at night thinking about the irrelevance of my existence compared to the grandiosity of our universe. Often I lay in bed imagining the collapse of physics a small change causing the air to leave my lungs due to gravitational variation or the electrons in every one of my atoms de-orbiting. It’s utterly ridiculous because we’re pretty certain physics wont just change on a whim, but my mind won’t stop me from worrying about it. Has anyone experienced this level of distress wound this or did I just get a little too curious and fry my brain a bit?
