What should I do when adding an SSD while already having an HDD?

Apologies if this seems obvious or dumb, I am not familiar with PCs besides the basics I think. I have been using only a 2tb HDD for a bit and just recently bought a 2tb SSD cause my HDD is working overtime. I was wondering if there was anything I needed to do before and after adding the SSD to my PC? If there are any tips or videos that could help I would greatly appreciate it.

Please feel free to leave any sort of tip or advice as I don’t know anything about this process lol.
