**Summary (Self-Translated):**

**Before committing suicide, he was confessed to by him. Yet the little, determined-to-die boy never expected that his suicide plans would be repeatedly thwarted by that confessor.**

This novel touches on depression, suicide and recovery of a normal student.

Shen Ting Mian, the MC is very suicidal. He’s in pain, hanging between life and death but nonetheless still alive. He then meets our ML, Li Mu Ze who’s the complete opposite. He’s sunny, got a life and optimistic. It’s not your typical healing novel.

Li Mu Ze was very innocently happy, free and ignorant of mental problems, as do some of his classmates. But he really, really tried to understand when he finally found out about MC’s situation. Just dating won’t help, and he paid the price of getting close to MC, like a moth to a flame. He had to grow up and understand that there are people who sought death as salvation.

It’s an excruciating recovery, and an incredibly vivid description of depression, growing up and how circumstances may lead to that. Even according to Chinese netizens, it’s a brutally painful yet wonderful novel. The author’s writing is so devastatingly beautiful, but chilling because of the content. The lesson behind this story is honestly simple but so little people actually get it. It’s a Happy End so fear not, just it’s sad most of the time with lots of sugar from Ml.

The only unrealistic part of this is how good ML is to MC since not many would’ve lasted with such a depressed person till the end. Same for ML’s parents who were so supportive.

TRIGGER WARNING:It’s quite triggering for many really depressed people so please be cautious. Not beautifying suicide and depression, but it’s a guiding light to life for some.

I’m not sure if it’s being translated yet, but I’ve read this years ago, which helped me a lot and hope that many others know of this too!
