How would you split up the timeline?

I feel like its sort of ridiculous how all that crazy lore junk takes place within their first year and I genuinely feel like the narrative suffers because of it. Plus most of the characters don't get properly fleshed out and I feel like a majority of them have become caricatures of themselves.

If they even had a chance to be a fleshed out character to begin with.

I'm thinking of doing some sort of re-write, but I'm not very well versed on the fanfic side of MHA, so any fic suggestions or ideas with this concept would be helpful.
