Safe route to travel at night

I have a night shift job in Mohali phase 8 starting next monday, I come from Ambala and mainly thinking about traveling on my Interceptor 650, which route is safer at night around 8 - 9:30 pm Ambala banur road or the main Chandigarh highway? I know this might not be a relevant sub but any advice will be appreciated
