Rant about fields (maybe I'm too old school)

Haven't played since 2012. Last event I went to was BlackSheep Milsim @ Pine Plains. Yup dating myself. I also used to do the day play at a local field and had great times.

Fast forward to this weekend and got back out there. KWA M16 from 2012 still fires amazing. Side not don't let anyone tell you, you can't hook up an 11.1 Lipo because she slapped and ran all day. EG1000 does not care.

Anyone to my direct question: what is with the cheezy every hour of gameplay is stopped even if people are having loads of fun in the scenario. Why can't the field staff use their brain and let play continue. I totally get its day play but a schedule for Airsoft... tons of scenario rules... and limiting the field.

The sport has definitely changed and for worse in the day play sector. where did the days go where you showed up played attack/defend or objectives. but used the whole field and play ended when the scenario was over not by some dudes stop watch.

don't get me wrong I love variety but at least one longer scenario.

shit and what is with the stupid paintball field marshall crap. our "field marshals" also played the scenarios.

maybe I try other fields but is this the norm now unless you go to some 12 plus hour event???
