Please don’t give everyone the advise to “go seek a specialist abroad” without asking where they are from
I know majority of people on Reddit and the internet as a whole are from Usa, Canada or other English speaking countries like UK. Or from Western Europe. But please understand that is the exception not the default. And also a lot of Western Europeans have that option. Or asking if we went to an endometriosis specialist as if every country has them. My country allegedly has 1 specialist that has some certification. 1 person. You can have many people claim they are without backing it up with a certification or even statistics of how many people they treated. Look up the map of such specialists in non Western Europe, Asia , Africa or South America. Lots of countries don’t even have such doctors…
Average wage in my country is 700 dollars per month. People my age and older, around me make like 1000 per month max.
Before tax. Before all expenses. And I can guarantee you a lot of people not from the capital and not in IT make LESS.
I need a visa to travel to certain countries.
Tell me again how it’s feasible or even possible to just get off my butt to get surgery abroad unless I have lots of saved money or family where I am going …
I understand you all mean well, but sometimes advice is so western-centric.
