International School Ho Chi Minh City - American Academy (ISHCMC-AA) Vietnam

I am considering ISHCMC-AA for my Grade 7 child (who is introverted and sensitive). However, it is surprisingly hard to find genuine, updated reviews because most information is overshadowed by its 'big brother' (ISHCMC).

Apart from the massive social media bullying scandal in 2022, there is almost a 'black hole' of information regarding the school's internal culture since then.

For teachers and staff who have worked there recently: Did the culture actually change after 2022?

Is the school dominated by flashy, wealthy cliques of students? For a quiet kid who doesn't care about 'rich-kid' trends, is this a safe environment or a recipe for isolation? Does the administration now take bullying seriously?

I’m looking for the brutal truth from those on the inside.
