Of Love and Mortal Sin | 21+ Arthurian Romance RP | Semi-Lit | Small, Story-Driven Discord Newly Made

Camelot stands at its height. The banners of the Round Table fly proudly. The Grail Quest is underway. King Arthur's reign is undisputed, his court radiant with chivalry, devotion, and whispered longing beneath torchlight.

This is an Arthurian romance roleplay Discord server inspired by the Vulgate Cycle, Post-Vulgate traditions, and Le Morte d'Arthur, drawing from the former for structure and roles, and the latter for default knightly temperaments. We subtract the darker elements found in later French cycles in favor of a more romantic, character-driven court.

This is a knight x OC focused server. Each Knight of the Round Table is available to be matched with original characters. We don't allow knight x knight pairings in order to keep opportunities fair and accessible for OC writers. Romance is the heart of the server: enemies to lovers, friends to lovers, forbidden devotion, soft yearning, all are welcome.

Knights are written based on their traditional portrayals (as you’d find in broad Arthurian summaries; Galahad, for instance, would not be reimagined as a cruel bully). We don't expect anyone to have studied medieval texts; accessibility matters. But we do want portrayals to feel grounded in the spirit of the legends.

OCs have full creative freedom so long as their roles are realistic within a medieval-inspired court. OCs cannot be knights. Historical realism sits at about 60%, with 40% aesthetic flexibility to allow the romantic grandeur Arthuriana naturally carries.

• 21+ only (age verification question required in application)
• Semi-lit (minimum two paragraphs per reply)
• Third person past tense
• Discord-based, organized via forum channels
• Small group goal: 5–10 writers
• Expected posting pace: one reply every two weeks
• Optional hiatus role available (up to two months)
• No hard limit on characters or threads; write what you can realistically sustain
• No generative AI

This is a story-first space. Smut is allowed but never the focus. Emotional arcs, character growth, and collaborative plotting always come first.
