Does he like me back?

hey guys!! so i’ve been friends with this guy for about a few months now, and i know that he’s originally from brazil. that being said, the Brazilian culture is a very touchy culture. i’m just not really sure how to know if he likes me or not. for the past week or so, we have been hugging and holding hands a lot. he will get very close to me to kissing me but then will at the last second kind of swerve to the side so he doesn’t kiss me. about 3 times though he would actually kiss my check. i usually don’t see him doing this to any other girls except for me and like a few others that he will just hug at most. pls help bc idk if it’s his culture, he’s gay or if he likes me.
