Need help choosing plants

I just got a 55 gallon tank. I’m currently waiting for the grow lights, heater, and Co2 system to come in and I really want to make a nice planted tank. I’m looking for plant suggestions for some centerpieces and a good soft carpeting ideas. Pretty new to the hobby and want to do it right. I’ve watched way too many YouTube videos over the years and finally bit the bullet😂
