Question on completing studies

Hi everyone, I’m new to the website, may i ask how does the pay per hour work? Like if there’s a survey that would approximately take you 3 mins to complete, and they pay you 10.62 an hour, wouldn’t people just try and stall or did i miss something? Thanks 😊
