Will it truenas?

I've got my main server running and loving everything about it so far. But I want an off-site back-up for my most important files. I plan on setting up a weekly duplication task to preform the back upstairs.

I came across some proliant microserver N54L which can be picked up for cheap (€50~€80 excl shipping), I've got spare 3,5" drives for the system and can get my hands on some 2,5"ssd for OS for cheap.

Will that work out? Or is the system to old for it? One of the servers I came across has a separate NIC so that already should help offloading CPU a bit. Or is deduplication to resource heavy on the microserver?

Or should I save up some more money and see if I can snag a gen 8-10 for a nice price? (€160~€250 excl shipping)
