Books with grief/grieving
TW: Death of family member
My incredible grandmother just passed away at the age of 101. She was a force of nature and the literal embodiment of the Glass Half Full! I will miss her so fucking much.
I’m looking for some books that feature grief or grieving as part of the plot. I just kinda want to cry it out for a couple of days and sit with my sadness.
It doesn't have to be the death of a former partner/spouse, it could be family member, or dear friend. I just want the grief to be present in the plot and have the MC work through it as part of the story.
- All pairings are welcome!
- Most genres welcome (I'm not really into high fantasy though).
- Third person POV would be a cherry on top.
Some books that I've read that have grief in the plot that I enjoyed:
{You, with A View by Jessica Joyce}: death of grand-parent.
{Man Down by Kate Meader}: death of spouse and children.
{Don't Call Me Daddy by Jeré Anthony}: death of twin.
{Morbidly Yours by Ivy Fairbanks}: death of ex.
Thank you so much
