Custom knives worth it?
Hey fellas, I wanted to propose a discussion:
Are full custom knives justified in their expensive prices?
I understand that most of them are one-man shops who are literally doing everything.
But that aside: are the materials, innovation, and overall quality of the product better than a midtech or full production knife?
One could argue that a full production company has the ability to make their knives more consistently “perfect”., thus attributing to a better quality individually, and across the board.
Midtech, being part custom and part “production”, you get the best of both worlds.
What are your thoughts?
I use CRK as an example, it’s for sure a custom design but is made in a “high-output” environment (meaning multiple can be made in a day/week/month)
, and fetches a decent price
