Would you submit verification for a sales role?

Hello sales friends. Super quick question id like feedback on.

I recently went through an interview and was asked to prove my sales attainment via 3rd party verification tool they now use.

The 3rd party I did it through uses Plaid so felt secure etc but wondering if anyone else has done this yet? It felt like I was applying for a mortgage ffs

The interviewer didnt get my actual salary I guess, but def was confirming if I was lying or not. I didnt choose this option but they can even request workday or Adp data.

Wondering if I should be angry with this or if this is the new standard of finding good talent for companies
